MQTT integration
Collecta subscribes to MQTT brokers — including HiveMQ, EMQX and Mosquitto — to stream live telemetry from the floor straight into modules. As messages arrive on subscribed topics, Collecta writes them as records you can chart, alert on and feed to the AI agent. It is the lightweight pub/sub path for connecting sensors, gateways and IIoT devices.
Capabilities
Stream live telemetry from MQTT brokers.
Subscribe to topics on HiveMQ, EMQX, Mosquitto and other MQTT brokers
Ingest live telemetry as records the moment messages are published
Map payload fields onto typed Collecta custom fields
Trigger automations and alerts on incoming sensor values
Visualize streamed data with dashboard widgets and charts
Query historical and live readings with the Claude-powered AI agent
How it works with Collecta
From MQTT to live operations.
01
Connect
Add the connector, authenticate, and Collecta validates the link — credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and isolated per tenant.
02
Map to a module
Each entity, topic or device maps to a Collecta module. Fields become typed custom fields with permissions, validation and visibility rules.
03
Operate
Run automations, approvals, alerts and reports on the synced data — and query it all with the Claude-powered AI agent.
Synced data lives in the same multi-tenant workspace as your custom fields, automations and AI agent · config encrypted with AES-256-GCM · five-minute to daily intervals.
FAQ
MQTT, answered.
Collecta subscribes to standard MQTT brokers including HiveMQ, EMQX and Mosquitto. It connects as a subscriber and ingests messages from the topics you configure.
MQTT is a publish/subscribe protocol, so Collecta subscribes to topics and receives telemetry as devices publish it, rather than polling on an interval.
Each message becomes a record in a Collecta module, where you can map payload fields, trigger automations and alerts, and visualize the values on dashboards.
